Recreational Instructors
DAYS : Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
PART TIME: 5-15 hours per week.
STARTING WAGE: $10.25 hour.

The Recreational Gymnastics Instructor will teach students how to safely execute beginner, gymnastics skills. This is a part-time, entry level position.
Work objectives

• Assist and supervise classes of athletes all ages 
• Learn, teach skills and abilities at the beginner level.
• Lead the Park Elite basic warm ups
• Lead children ages 4-12 yrs 
  • Focus on Beginner skills 
  • Log skills of each gymnast quarterly
• Monthly assessment reports to gym manager.

•  Set up a safe gym environment:
  • Adhere to gym rules and safety practices for all equipment
  • Ensure correct technique is used while instructing
  • Practice gym and facility safety with all gymnasts​
• Plan and come prepared: 
  • Arrive on time for work
  • Positive attitude
  • Arrive prepared to coach
  • Arrive in PES coaching uniform
  • Log class attendance daily
  • Communicate with gym manager on a daily basis regarding gymnast performance.
  • Ensure the gym, including bathrooms, lobby and office space are clean

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of gymnastics preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Able to handle multiple activities at the same time.
• Be consistent and reliable in arrival and attendance to assure the proper operation of the program.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Proven track record of utilizing good judgment and decision making skills to be able to work independently.\
