About The Class

The learning never stops! This class is designed to continue to build on the foundation that was laid during Level 1 Beginner.

​While the basics are always reviewed and applied, it is now time to challenge what they’ve learned, refine their skills and develop more advanced techniques of execution! We will focus some more attention on how well the skills are executed and celebrate the improved form and consistency in skill growth. Their understanding of terminology, body shaping and conditioning will increase as they face new drills for skill maturity. In an ever evolving sport, they will be exposed to more practice time, new stretches, skills and coaching styles!

​Must have completed level 1 beginner skills and approved by coach

Skills aquired

Beam 
  • Mount
  • Tuck Jump & Split Jump, Wolf Jump, Straddle Jump
  • Handstand and Cartwheel
  • Bridge up & Bridge Kick over, Back walkover
  • Snap Turn and 1/2 Turn on one foot and Full Turn on one foot
  • Dismounts, Jumps, Handstands, Roundoffs, Fronthandspring
Bars
  • Strict Pullover ,Hanging Pullover
  • Kipping Basics 
  • Cast to 90 degrees
  • Mill Circle  & Front Hip Circle, Back Hip Circle
  • Tuck ,Pike and Straddle On dismount
  • Squat on Jump off  dismount and safety drills 
Floor
  • Blocking 
  • Front & Back Walkovers
  • Round off
  • Front Handspring
  • Back handspring
  • Back Tuck
  • Front tuck
  • Half turn and Full turn on one foot
  • Leap L-Hop, Wolf Jump, Split Jumps, Straddle Jumps,
Vault
  • Running Drills
  • Handstand to flat back

Flexibility
  • Left Split, Right Split, Straddle Split ,Pike and Bridge

Class Schedule
​(60 min class meets 1x a week)
Please call to register. If your child has not been in our program a skill test is required to enroll.


Class attire

GIRLS:
  • Leotard 
  • T-shirt or tank to that can be tucked in
  • Leggings or spandex shorts
BOYS:
  • Athletic shorts or sweat pants 
  • T-Shirt or Tank Top long enough to tuck in.
All hair must be pulled up and off shoulders and or out of eyes.

We do not allowed athletes to wear the following for safety reasons and equipment damage. 
  • NO Jeans
  • NO zippers buttons or rivets
  • NO Skirts
  • NO dresses
  • NO Tutus
  • NO Jewelry
​Those who show up without the proper attire will not be allowed to participate in class.

If you forget your gymnastics clothes we have items available in our Pro shop for purchase.
